What the Engine Does
The core AI engine reads plates, detects direction and feeds data wherever it needs to go.
No Plate Limit Per Frame
Reads any number of license plates simultaneously visible in a single camera frame.
Free Flow & Triggered Modes
Operates continuously on every frame, or waits for an external trigger from loops, radar, sensors or other Metrici engine.

Direction Detection
Identifies whether a vehicle is moving inbound or outbound — essential for parking and access control.
Detection Window
Define a zone within the camera image where the engine searches — reduces false positives and lowers processing load.
Companion Camera
Pair a second ambient camera with the LPR camera. Both images saved together per detection event — wider angle, driver face, context.
Radar Speed Integration
Connect a radar to each camera. Vehicle speed is captured and stored alongside the plate photo at the moment of detection.
External System Output
Sends plate data and detection info to any external system via POST — barriers, traffic lights, LED signs, third-party databases.

How Data Flows Through Metrici

Mode 01
Engine → Metrici Interface
Detection data flows directly into the Metrici web dashboard. Events, alerts and reports managed in one place.
Mode 02
Engine → Third-Party Software
Plate data sent directly to an external system via POST. Metrici acts as a pure detection and delivery layer.
Mode 03
Engine → Both
Simultaneous output to Metrici interface and one or more external systems. Full redundancy and flexibility.
Mode 04
Triggered by External Input
Engine activated by radar, inductive loops, sensors or other Metrici engines— only reads when a vehicle is physically present.
