Metrici Launches Version 4.0 of Its Software Platform
Metrici announces the official release of Metrici Software Version 4.0, a major upgrade that delivers enhanced performance, expanded AI-driven capabilities, and a more flexible foundation for enterprise and industrial deployments.
Version 4.0 represents a significant milestone in Metrici’s product roadmap, building on the platform’s strengths in AI-powered video analytics and object recognition. The new release introduces a refined architecture designed to improve scalability, reliability, and ease of integration across complex environments.
The main feature of this release is the fact that now Metrici is compatible with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Meaning all future installments will be made on this OS platform. Nevertheless, Metrici will continue to offer suport and releases for CentOS and our partners who are using this OS will continue to get updates. Metrici 4.0 is the first one to contain both Ubuntu and CentOS installment kits. This transition marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing mission to enhance performance, security, and long-term reliability across its suite of artificial intelligence applications.

LPR export files can be configured not to contain all data as some are not relevant for all applications and installations (such as direction, group, class, maker, info etc)
Bug fixed: Users with limited access can no longer see other locations in Parking for LPR / Settings and LPR / Popup alerts
Feature request: pop-up mechanism for LPR when a car from action list is detected- a message is seen on interface and engine also. A new tab is seen on Metrici Interface Lpr_popups and Popup Alerts Page which can be seen no matter what page a user vizualizes at that moment. All history is accessible on Popup Alerts page.
Feature request: When a new license plate is added in Action List (not in group) a new filter was introduced for locations (as some installation have hundreds of cameras and was inefficient to check one at a time). When a location is checked, all cameras are selected, but there is also the possibility to uncheck cameras one at a time. There is also an ALL check.
New feature: LPR Module: Define cameras mechanism similar to Action list, also in groups.
New feature: Cameras list display for each license plate in Action list and Groups menu will display only three cameras for each plate and the list can be expanded with a dropdown button (as some locations have hundreds of cameras)
New feature in Visitors Journal menu for scanning documents and getting data and display them on Events page
New feature: Area Counter has a new button and settings: Area Counter / Settings / General has a url_for_reporting_bad_detection and show_report_bad_detection_button set. When activated a user can send and report a bad detection (false positive) to a specific URL. These data will be revised by Metrici AI and used for future neuronal training and DNN improvement.
New feature: QR code generator and use both for a tenant as well as for his visitors. Each tenant has a permanent QR code (equivalent to its license plate). Also he has access to another automated generated unique QR code to share with a visitor. This one has a limited time of use specific and customizable for each tenant. When that limit is reached, the code is deactivated and a new one is generated.
New feature: Roles implemented in User administration. For installations where there are many users a mechanism similar to Action List LPR was added. When a new user is added, he can be assigned to a role (with predefined settings) with specific access rights- locations, cameras, menu etc not to set individually for each one.
Backend deveopement: Refresh solution for tenant free spaces page was changed to Ajax for better display on Android.
New feature: Barrier opening from Live view has a new field: info filling .
Backend developement: Blank spaces elimination introduced in database was changed exclusively to license plate and not other fillings
New feature: Import and export tables have a Time Table columns with its name not ther number value from database.
New menu: A new menu was introduced in LPR: Vehicles and trailers. It has the following tabs: Front plate | Country | Back plate | Country | Date | Time | Location | Camera Direction | Class | Maker | Color | Action | Info. Each event has both photos and event information for each one individually
New setting: LPR exports can no longer include all data. Tabs show_direction, show_group, show_class, show_maker, show_color, show_info, show_infringed were added in lpr_settings tabel in databse and Interface menu with a value of 1. If set to 0, they will not be included in pdf, xls, csv exports.

Metrici Software Version 4.0 is available immediately for new deployments and as an upgrade for existing customers.
The update is free of charge for the clients who purchased a Metrici license last year, but available to all that want it.
